I have always felt uncomfortable in situations where I am asked to introduce myself. It’s not that I don’t know what to say but the fact that I have so much going on in my mind but when asked to say those things out aloud and in a definitive order, I don’t know where and how to begin with. However, I have always found it easier to pen my thoughts and views. So here is my feeble attempt to give you an insight into who I am and what I do.
I am a born and bred Pakistani Desi living in London as a naturalised British Citizen for almost 12 years. An IT professional with a degree (actually two) in Computer & Information Systems, I have just returned to work after a long career gap while being a full time mum to my two sons for the last 10 years or so and totally loved it yet there were times when I struggled with feelings of no self worth over not having a career I always aspired to have.
A nonconformist by nature against any insensitive social commentary/pressures with a particular dislike for hypocrisy, an extroverted introvert (yes that is a thing!), a compulsive organiser with all the symptoms of OCD and a keen eye for the minutest of detail, an interior design & handmade arts/crafts lover, a self-declared party planner, a bibliophile, someone crazy enough to love a good scrub and find cleaning therapeutic and a sucker for bargains with a particular interest in clothes, shoes and home decor (and trust me finding good petite fit clothes is an art when you are just 5ft). Basically, I am this awesome tiny package who has embraced being just myself and this blog is a window, for you, to take a peek into my not-so-happening day-to-day life and read about my thoughts and views. You’ll find a bit of everything on this blog related to the topics mentioned above.
Thanks for coming over and taking the time out to read my blog!
